Welcome to Rice Bowl, where every dish tells a story and every bite is an experience. It all began in 1995 when PK Sharma turned his passion for cooking into reality by opening the first Rice Bowl in Colva. Born into an orthodox family, PK was expected to follow tradition, but his heart was set on bringing people together through delicious food. His journey took him from Banaras to Bombay and finally to Goa on a culinary expedition, where he mastered the art of Chinese cooking under the late Kenneth Ku, a chef from China who had settled in Kolkata, India.

Inspired by authentic flavours and driven by creativity, PK crafted dishes that quickly became beloved by locals and visitors alike. Two of our most popular creations—the Taro Nest, a crispy, golden delight with savoury fillings, and the Black Pepper Chicken with a unique twist—offer just a glimpse into the legacy of taste he built with care and dedication.

Though Rice Bowl expanded to Margao and Cavelossim, challenges with rented spaces tested PK’s resilience. Yet, his unwavering spirit and love for food kept the Rice Bowl name thriving.
